Game rules

Players draw cards with different types of wagons, with the help of which they occupy lines, build railway stations and make their way through tunnels and on ferries at sea. Ticket to ride Europe is personal and simple, it can be learned in 5 minutes, it is attractive to play for both families and experienced players.

Gameplay:

Generally, players collect train tickets, claim routes on the map and try to connect the cities shown on their tickets. In more detail, the game board shows a map of Europe with certain cities connected by colored paths. Each player starts with four colored train cards in hand and two tickets; each ticket shows two cities and you try to connect these two cities with the adjacent route of your trains to complete the ticket.

On a turn, you either draw two train cards from the deck or discard train cards to claim a route between two cities; for this last option, you must discard cards that match the color and number of spaces on that path (eg two yellow cards for a yellow path that is two spaces long). If you match the two cities shown on the ticket with the route of your trains, reveal the ticket, place it face up in front of you, and then draw a new ticket. (If you cannot connect cities on any ticket because the routes are blocked, you can discard those tickets entirely and draw two new ones.) If you connect one of the westernmost cities (Dublin, Brest, Madrid) to one of the easternmost cities (Moscow, Rostov , Ankara) with the route of your trains, you immediately request a special ticket across the continent.

The first player to fill in six tickets wins! Alternatively, if someone places all twenty of their trains on the game board, whoever collects the most tickets wins!

Ticket to Ride: First Journey (Europe) has the same gameplay as the first game Ticket to Ride: First Journey, but with players claiming a track in Europe instead of the United States.
