HOW TO PLAY:

Set the starting numbers on the game board as shown in the challenge (some Expert and Master challenges do not show numbers). Place all remaining numbers on the game board. If the challenge shows a sum, the sum of the surrounding numbers must equal that sum. The marks around the sum signal the amount and position of the required numbers.

Example challenge:

The challenge shows two sums of 3. The marks around the top sum signal that there is only one number around the sum that can be used to get the sum of 3 (indicated by one continuous white border). therefore, it can only be the number 3. The marks around the bottom sum signal that we need to find 2 numbers to get the sum of 3 (indicated by the 2 white border pieces). Due to the placement of the label, there is only one correct way to place the numbers (1 and 2) to get the sum of 3. There is only one solution for each challenge, which can be found at the back of the booklet.

NOTE: The game board will not be completely filled at the end of each challenge - 2 empty spaces remain.
