Imagine that you are in the age of great discoveries: your ships have reached the shores of an unknown island after a long voyage full of sacrifices. Let's call it Catan!

Establish the first two settlements and use various raw materials to build roads and new settlements that eventually develop into cities. Trade overshadows everything else happening on the island. You have an abundance of some raw materials, others are in short supply. Ore for wool, clay for wood - trade to get the raw materials you need to build.
Take care of business wisely: establish settlements in the right places and trade your resources smartly! That's the only way you'll have a good chance, because your teammates didn't fall from the moon either.
