Mime
The Goki Mime game is a fun, wordless game suitable for four or more players.
Contents:
- 50 clue cards
Objective of the Game:
The goal is to see which team collects more cards by the end of the game.
Preparation:
Form two teams of equal size and agree on how many cards you want to use or how many terms will be mimed. Then, place the cards face down in the middle, so everyone can easily reach them.
One team is the guessing team, and the other is the judging team. Roles switch after each round of the game.
The guessing team selects the first mime, who looks at the top card (hidden from the others) and passes it to the judging team.
Now the mime tries to explain the term to their team using only facial expressions and gestures, meaning without words or sounds!
The guessing team tries to guess the term as quickly as possible, while the judging team ensures that the mime follows the rules.
If the guessing team guesses the term correctly, they keep the card. If the judging team spots a rule violation, the card goes to them.
Roles are then swapped: the guessing team becomes the judging team and vice versa. The mime in the guessing team changes each round.
When all the clue cards are used, count them. The team with the most cards wins the game.
Alternative Version:
Agree on a time limit in which the term must be guessed, e.g., one minute. The judging team keeps track of the time using a clock. If the term is guessed within the time, move on to the next term. If the term is not guessed in time, the card goes to the judging team.
