The Caterpillar is the 16th book in the popular Crumbs collection. Chewing leaves and watching her little sisters proudly show off their colourful butterfly wings. When winter came, the butterflies left the country, and Gretice took refuge in the shelter of her home, closed her eyes and dreamt of flying...
Crumbs is the work of Antoine Krings, born in 1962 in France. His educational and entertaining collection has become an international bestseller, with 59 titles published by Gallimard to date, and this year, a cartoon about the Little Tiny Tots was launched in France.
Tadpoles are small insects and animals that live in the same garden, and their behaviour is very similar to that of small children. They can feel joy, anger, envy, friendship, pain and tenderness. The stories are also educational. The little ones have different relationships with each other, sometimes they fight, sometimes they are friends, but at the same time they learn that everyone is different and they learn to accept these differences.
