At Kakadu, we want to change the world for the better. From the very beginning.

We started back in 2010. At that time our Miha was 3 years old and little Jaša was 2 years old.
First I brought baby hammocks. We got it as a gift when Jasha was born. Because of the springs, it helped tremendously in putting our screamer to sleep. I still regret that we didn't manage to trade it in, because it really is a top product.

Another innovation at that time was the co-sleeper. It's a great thing, the baby sleeps next to you, but there's no fear of sleeping on it.

The third thing I brought were the propellers. And they were the piece of luck in the story that every entrepreneur needs to survive.

The little carriages really caught on then, and they are the reason we survived.

The shop was online only, the warehouse was our garage, you can imagine how the in-person pickups went with 2 little frogs.
Buyers and prospective buyers rang at our home, I printed the invoice on the home printer, then (in my husband's absence) somehow with 1 or both dots I did personal collections and tours of the drives.

Thank God, after a good year of this, a small corner in MC Šiška became available, where we still are today. We added wooden toys, then didactic toys, lightweight bicycles, scooters, helmets, carriers, rain pants, sunglasses, innovative swimming aids, barefoot shoes, etc. Everything that I missed in the offer of Slovenian children's shops.

Kakadu is a family-run business that supports the idea that children should be outside as much as possible. Childhood and free play should be as long as possible.
