Koel was founded in 2006 by Heidi van Eck and Vanessa Weismuller with the aim of creating high-quality, flexible and eye-catching shoes. Since 2016, the shoes have been designed and manufactured by a creative team with a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in children's footwear. The entire process is carried out in Portugal.
Since 2018, they have been focusing on barefoot shoes. Their goal is to create the most comfortable shoes that support health and are made in a sustainable way. They have developed shoes with soles of different widths and the use of organic and certified materials.Today, they are the leading brand of barefoot footwear for children, as well as for adults.
