GAME RULES:
The aim of the game is to bring the big pucks closer to the small pucks by throwing them as accurately as possible. The game is played by 2 or 4 players (2 doubles). 8 large and 1 small tile are played (1 is a spare). Each player plays with 4 tiles, in doubles each with 2 tiles of the same colour. The player who gets the draw rolls the small tile first. Correctly thrown tiles are at least 2m (5m for official competitions) and no more than 10m away from the player. After the small tile has been thrown, the same player shall throw the large tile. The next throw belongs to the opponent or the opposing pair, who throws until his/her disc is closer to the small disc. Only 1 tile may be thrown by a competitor at a time. The round ends when all players have thrown their tiles. In each round of throwing, 1 point is scored by each player (pair) for each tile that is closer to the small tile than any of the opponent's tiles. A maximum of 4 points may be scored in a round. The player who in the previous round had the closest tile to the small tile in the previous round shall be entitled to the starting throw in the new round. The winner of the game/node is the player (double) who scores 13 points first. By mutual agreement, the game may be played over multiple sets won. Enjoy the game!
We used to play this game (when it did not yet have uniform competition rules) say what bowling ... in some places it is still called that. J
"Bowling" is traditional Slovenian game (sometimes known in neighbouring countries as boccia discs or petanque discs) and has its roots in Istria, where shepherds used to throw flat stones when they gathered together.
In the 1970s and 1980s, stones were replaced by modern materials; plastics and the beginnings of rubber. The tiles brought a lot of joy to the gathering, but their hardness meant that they bounced around uncontrollably.
In 2005, a group of enthusiasts wrote down uniform rules for bowling and, to distinguish it from bowling by name, bowling became Tiles, and the game was given a Slovenian name fingering.
Because we want to showcase the game across Europe and beyond, we have given it an international name -- FINGERDISC
Why are there fingering discs - FINGERDISC - different from the "little balls"?
Slovenian product - game tiles FINGERDISC was designed and manufactured in Slovenia. We have taken into account all the competition requirements and specifications.
Each tile weighs approx. 75g and is 100mm in diameter, with a 15mm hole in the centre. We have also taken into account bilateral symmetry of the disc (three outer 10mm waves, a 6mm plane and one inner 8mm wave) for more accurate throw! The tiles are made made of special rubber which is fully recyclable. The rubber is specially selected to allow Flexibility and high friction for the best possible grip on landing (without rebound). Suitable for playing on concrete, asphalt, grass, ceramics, parquet, laminate, sand, wood, parquet... anywhere. The wrapping contains the basic rules of play in Slovenian and English. The tiles are compactly stored on a convenient holder. With only 0,68 kg and its small size (15x12x10cm) makes it easy to carry...always with you!
