There are 9 thick felt-tip pens in different colours and one "magic" felt-tip pen, which you can use to "conjure up" a change of colour in the colour traces of the other felt-tip pens. The basic colour of the colour trace is the same as the colour of the felt-tip body, the changed colour is the same as the colour of the cap.
