The book is the work of Slovenian author and illustrator Romana Kern-Rommy. The fairy tale is about chimneys that migrate in spring to cold places where winter comes - just the opposite of what swallows do. The main character is an old chimney sweep who was thrown away because he was no longer up to the job. A little girl finds it. With her help, the school restores it and the chimney can continue to do its job!
About the author
If some people hadn't come along in my life, my canvases would have remained white, my paints would have dried up, my brushes would have found happiness elsewhere. But these people did not directly encourage me to create. I found the encouragement myself, by observing them, admiring them, taking inspiration from them, and in that way I found myself. After a little more digging around, I found a notebook and a pen. I knew it was there for a purpose, so I slowly wrote stories in it. That is how the little book you have in front of you came into being. I wish you a pleasant reading.
