ČL Codenames board game (Slovenian edition)

Game description

Released in 2015, Codenames immediately became the most popular party game on BoardGameGeek (beating Avalon, Time's Up and Dixit to the top spot), and is so simple that it's playable by all ages - we just recommend that you have at least four players at the table at the same time.

Rules of the game

25 cards with different words are placed on the table - some of the words will belong to one group, some to another, some will be neutral, and one card will be lethal, as its selection will mean the immediate end of the game and defeat for the team that chooses it. The two groups then designate a player who will give clues in the form of associations. These two team leaders will be the only ones who know which word belongs to whom. Each time a group is given a turn, the leader will give the other team members a clue in the form of a single word (which must not, of course, be the same as any of the words on the cards) and a number. The number will indicate how many cards are associated with his clue, e.g. "Animals, 3!". The other players must now try to select the correct cards. The game continues until one group has managed to find all the words that belong to it, or until one group has mistakenly chosen the killer card.

Codenames is for both experienced and less experienced players, and also excels as a family board game with children over 10 years old.The team bonding will grow from move to move as you successfully guess what your team leader meant and which words are the right ones. It's also a pretty good feeling when you manage to fool your opponents into mistakenly calling your agent instead of their own!
