More info below.
Exploding Kittens is a fast-paced cat card game that has taken the world by storm and held the record for the best-selling product on Kickstarter for a long time. It's a cat version of Russian roulette, where players take turns drawing cards until someone runs into an exploding kitten and is knocked out of the game.
Rules of the game:
1. Turn over the playing mat and place the Godcat and Devilcat cards face up on the playing mat.
2. Discard all four Exploding Kittens cards and all six Relief cards. (The number of Relief cards is relative to the number of players. E.g. 5 players means 5 defusing cards). The defusing cards are extremely powerful and are the only tool that can protect a player from an explosion.
3. Shuffle the rest of the pile and assign each player seven cards face down. Each player then adds a relieving card to his or her pile, meaning that each player has eight cards in his or her hand.
4. The pile from which you draw new cards must have one fewer Explosion Kittens than there are players. So if there are four players, there must be three exploding kittens in the pile. Then shuffle the pile and place it face down in the middle of the table.
5. Select the order of players. The player who is first in line may discard any card and place it on the surplus pile, but may keep all his cards. The next player takes his turn when the previous player draws a new card.
Players take turns drawing cards until someone draws an exploding kitten and is eliminated from the game. Other cards will give players different bonuses to help you avoid the explosion. This process repeats until only one player is left.
A game within a game (Armageddon):
The fight between good and evil! A game between two players!
The game starts when one player draws the Armageddon card. Godcat is the strongest card, and Devilcat is the card that will immediately explode the player (if there is no reliever card).
How to play this card?
Shuffle the cards and place the Godcat and Devilcat cards face down in front of you and one of the other players, so that only you know which card is in front of whom. Without looking at the cards, your teammate has to decide whether to keep their card or swap it for another. Once they each have a card, they flip them over. The one who has the Godcat card adds it to his pile. The player who landed with the Devilcat card must immediately put down the relieving card, otherwise he is out.
