Game description

Diamoniak is a fun, strategic game where you must build your castle before the evil witches attack! Can you fend off the witches? Contents: 55 sturdy playing cards in a sleeve.

Rules of the game

Preparation: place the shuffled cards in a pile in the centre of the table, face down.

The game is played clockwise. The youngest player starts by taking a card from the top of the pile and showing it to his teammates. Throughout the game, all players must take at least one card from the pile, after which they decide whether to take another or to leave the turn to the next player.

When a card is taken from the pile, there are 4 options:

• If a player draws a "Castle" card:

The player places the "Castle" card on the table in front of him and starts building a castle in his suit, if someone else is not already building in that suit. When it is the player's turn again, all Castle cards in his suit are used for building. "Castle" cards of other suits must be placed to the right of the player, face up (they can be put back in the pile or sold later).

• If a player is dealt a "Castle" card, he may take another card from the pile.
• If a player is dealt a "Fairy" card

Place a card on your right hand side and you may take another card.

• If a player is dealt a diamond:

He places a card on his right hand side and can take another card from the pile. The "diamond" card can be used to buy a "castle" card of his suit from other players to build a castle faster. (3 "diamond" cards are exchanged for one "castle" card.)

Attention:

• A player can only buy one "Castle" ticket when it is their turn.
• Other players must sell a "Castle" ticket.
• If a player is dealt a "Witch" card - Pitch! The player must return the "Witch" card and 3 more of his cards, which can be cards from the right pile or even cards from his own castle, and place them in a pile next to the main pile on the table. This pile is face up. If a player does not have 3 cards, he puts what he has on the pile.
• If a player has a "Fairy" card, he can use it to disable the Witch. Place the Witch card and the Fairy card in a pile next to the central pile, and the game continues next.

If the cards in the central pile run out, the cards in the pile next to it are shuffled and placed back in the centre, face down. The first player to build a castle from all 6 cards of the same suit is the winner.
