Apax MIPS cycling helmet - superior protection and comfort for the off-road

The Apax MIPS is a versatile mountain bike helmet and is considered one of the lightest in its class. It combines advanced MIPS safety technology with an innovative fit system Run System Ergo Flex, which allows precise 360° adjustment of the head shape. Thanks to its fine construction and easy adjustment, it offers exceptional wearing comfort.

For extra comfort, the removable and washable inner lining ensures a comfortable feeling even during hard rides in the heat. The helmet is made with Inmold Technologywhere the outer shell is permanently bonded to an inner layer of Hi-EPS foam - the result is a lightweight but extremely stable construction.

The lower edge of the helmet is additionally protected by a special polycarbonate rim that fits seamlessly to the main shell (technology Seamless Connection). For increased safety on demanding trails, the back and sides of the helmet are further extended to provide better head coverage.

Technology MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) helps reduce rotational forces in oblique impacts, further protecting the brain in falls.

Large ventilation openings allow efficient ventilation, integrated insect net prevents insect infestation, adjustable visor offers additional protection from the sun and branches.

Fitting a helmet

For optimum protection, please follow the steps below to fit the helmet:

Place the helmet on your head and open the strap splitting mechanism.
Refit the two ear buds so that they join just below the ear. The ear buds must not overlap the ears. Close the mechanism to separate the ear flaps.
Position the chin strap so that it is both snug and comfortable against the chin. The clasp should not be directly in front of the chin. The length of the chin strap can be adjusted on the buckle. Close the clasp.
Adjust the wheel on the back of the head according to the circumference of the child's head. The helmet should fit snugly and comfortably on the child's head. To offer optimum protection, the helmet should cover the forehead and not be pushed too far to the back of the head.

Alert

This helmet is designed exclusively for cycling, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards and powered scooters. It is not suitable for skiing, climbing, riding or motorcycling. Helmets should not be used by children when climbing or other activities where there is a risk of choking or hanging if a child becomes entangled with the helmet. For this reason, children should not use helmets in playgrounds and especially not on climbing ladders.
